The Instructional Hockey program consists of 2 levels. These levels are the Tim-Bits and Beginners. Both programs are open to both boys and girls ages 4 - 16 . All positions are open regardless of residency. NO WAITING LIST!!
Our Tim-Bits program is a learn-to-skate program. It is intended for the first-timer and those who cannot skate on their own. This program will skate once per week. Full hockey gear is not required with however; a helmet with a facemask is mandatory and skaters will receive their own jersey.
Our Beginners program will provide hockey instruction and is for the player who can already skate on his or her own. The program skates twice per week. Players are required to wear full hockey gear, which includes a helmet with a facemask, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, hockey pants, hockey gloves, hockey skates and a hockey stick. All skaters will receive their own jersey. Skates and Equipment rental is available. Arrangements must be made prior to first skate.
There is no monthly ice-fee for these programs, although there may be minor costs for parties and/or other events. Both programs begin in September and end in March.
HALF-ICE HOCKEY
We are also offering half-ice programs for 8 & under and 6 & under boys and girls that are ready to play the game. These teams will be skating twice per week using the half-ice/ADM model. Along with practices, teams will play games against other local half-ice programs. Monthly ice fees will be charged for this program.
Please note that all participants must join the Nitro Hockey Association, (which requires an $80.00 membership fee) and USA Hockey, (which requires a $30.00 membership fee). USA Hockey membership is free to all players’ 6yrs old and under.
